Global Customization - Changing the Default Annotation Form Settings

Customize default annotation values to open annotation forms with pre-set values.

You can now customize default annotation values. Examples that can be included in your default annotation form include:

• Color is pink instead of yellow (you may consider all yellow annotations to be "older" and use different colors for annotations created after your Primafact 6 upgrade)
• Automatically adding OCR text to the annotation's Text Excerpt field

Annotation defaults impact all users, across Cases.

Adjusting Annotation Defaults – Global Settings:

1. To change your firm’s global setting, go to Tools > Setup > Annotation Templates
   
2. The Manage Annotation Templates window will open.
   
   
   
   Adding a Template (if needed)
3. If you do not have the template you would like to use, click Add to create a new template.
4. The Annotation Template Definition form will appear.
   
5. Apply the annotation attributes you would like to apply to the template, using applicable checkboxes, dropdowns, radio buttons and text fields.
6. Name your Template (Template Name) 
7. Click OK to preserve your Template

8. On the Manage Annotation Templates window, select the template you wish to use as your default.
9. Select Set as Default.
10. Click Yes to confirm your selection. (You will see an asterisk beside the default annotation template).
11. Click Close to complete.
