Efficiency Tip: Copy text from Primafact to Word documents (1m video)

Copying text excerpts from Primafact documents into memos, pleadings and other documents is an efficiency boost for drafters of legal summaries and analysis. Do it more efficiently by copying via the annotation form.

HOW TO COPY TEXT QUICKER USING TEMPORARY ANNOTATIONS

You can use Primafact annotations to more efficiently copy text excerpt from the preview panel in the Binder view or from a document opened in a Tab or new Primafact window.

  1. Simply create an annotation, surrounding the text you wish to copy/paste. This will capture the desired excerpt.
  2. The annotation form will open. Click the the T button in either memo area (Annotation Notes field or Text Excerpt field, which is available on the expanded Annotation Form) to populate the underlying text.
  3. Copy the text (CTRL + C or right-click and select Copy from the pop-up menu).
  4. Paste into your document. Edit as needed.
  5. Cancel the annotation when you’re finished (unless you wish to keep the annotation in Primafact.)
