Primafact 4: What's New

Many improvements and features have been included in Primafact 4, making Primafact more powerful and easier to use than ever. Some of the exciting changes are highlighted here. For a comprehensive guide to the over 35 features introduced in Primafact 4, please see What’s New in Primafact 4.

 

Primafact now remembers all the documents you have copied, moved, and deleted for thirty days.  It’s now easy to see what you’ve done and undo it if you choose.   The “Show Details” button allows you to see in detail the history of previous actions.

 

Now you can get to your case folder without having to scroll through your entire list of clients. The conveniently placed “Find Folder” button allows you to jump directly to any folder just by typing part of the client’s name or matter number.

 

Primafact 4 can now automatically sort your binder view. Sort documents chronologically or by title. You can see documents listed in the order they were received or by the date they were created. You have complete control over how and when Primafact sorts. For example, you have the option of telling Primafact to automatically maintain the sort order you specify as new documents arrive.

 

Primafact 4 allows you to navigate to other binder documents right within the document view. You do not need to change tabs or windows to browse your entire matter.

Clicking on the Browse tab reveals a list of all other documents in the binder. Any document can be viewed just by clicking on it.

 

Primafact 4 allows you to rotate groups of pages with one command, saving you time and effort. You can now rotate a single document containing hundreds of page images all at once!

 

Profile fields and categories can be used to tailor Primafact to your firm’s document management needs. Primafact 4 provides advanced handling of document metadata, such as document dates, exhibit numbers, etc. You have tremendous flexibility in setting up and customizing document fields to meet your requirements. For example, you may want to keep track of all disclosed documents.

In addition to greater control of profile management, Primafact 4 Profiles includes additional benefits, such as the ability to synchronize modified metadata from your laptop, and the option to include selected metadata on digital affidavits.

All the metadata fields are easily accessible whenever you open a document.

 

Primafact 4 imports the binders from discs you receive from other firms using Primafact.

Primafact also support importing discs received from firms using Summation iBlaze.
