Installation ServicesInstallation services will usually be provided by your IT services provider, with standby telephone support by Sandcat personnel, or authorized Primafact reseller.
You can estimate half a day for the server and Scanstation components, and 15-20 minutes for each workstation, or much less if done after hours. Work Flow and Training Services
Sandcat or authorized Primafact resellers will provide the workflow consulting and training services to the firm. There can be up to four different types of sessions:
(a) Work Flow (0.5 - 1.0 days): In this session, the firm’s current practices will be detailed in terms of input and desired outputs. Then the processes will be tweaked or re-engineered to leverage the benefits of Primafact and the “client” folders and templates will be designed and created. (e.g. “This is how we want personal injury clients organized, this is how we want commercial litigation clients organized, etc.”). It is very important that representatives from each function within the firm participate in the work flow session
(b) Scanner Operator(s) Training (0.5 days): This session is for the people primarily responsible for scanning paper into the system.
(c) “Staff” End User Training (2 + 1 hours): This training is for the scanning operators and everyone else who will use the system (i.e. executive assistants, law clerks, and optionally lawyers)
(d) “Lawyer” End User Training (1 hour): This session is for the people who will work with the documents once they are already entered and organized in Primafact. It is a good idea to have lawyers’ assistants attend as well. |
